This is a very sweet romance.

Lilly is a woman who grew up in a small town in Georgia. You know the kind where everyone knows everyone. Her lifelong dream was always to become a chef and own her own restaurant. Luke met Lilly when they were in the seventh grade and fell in love with her immediately. They became best friends though Lilly never knew how he felt. On the night before Lilly leaves for college Luke decides to tell her that he is in love with her. Lilly has always felt a closeness with Luke and they both decide to spend the night together before she leaves.

Eleven years later after leaving home Lilly returns to Glenbrook for her baby sister's wedding. Having not seen nor spoken to Luke since that night so many years ago, she is nervous to see him again. Upon her return home, she discovers that Luke has remained in their hometown and is now a pediatrician who will be starting a practice with her soon-to-be brother-in-law. Though Lilly feels guilt for disappearing so many years ago, having grown up together they soon reconnect and both realize what they feel for each other is definitely more than just friendship. Though Lilly loves her new life in California living her lifelong dream, she must now decide what she truly wants. Will she return to her quiet life or will she listen to her heart and remain with her family and the love that is waiting for her?

Definitely some steamy moments between Luke and Lilly. A few emotional scenes that require a tissue. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a beautiful love story of two hearts destined in life to be together. It is a lovely tale filled with passion and love and a journey of hearts coming back to each other and remaining entwined forever.

This story was exceptional. I loved every page. This whole family was wonderful. They were so kind and loving towards each other. I really respected them. When it is true love you will know. Luke and Lily were wonderful characters. I would recommend this book to friends.
I really enjoyed reading this book. You instantly fall in love with the characters and feel their ups and downs. The story it self is a fabulous romance showing that love can endure time. I felt myself hoping that the lead lady would make the right choices for the outcome I wanted for the book. I think we will be seeing this author around for a long time to come. My only small complaint is the book could have been edited a bit more, but other than that a fantastic read.
I am one of those readers that read a lot of good books but never write reviews This book warranted a review. I want to encourage author to write more. This book well written and clean story. Little sex outside marriage, but. story good I enjoyed book so much, immediately looked to see other books she's written When found this is the only book she's wrote I felt just wanted to let it be known I will be on the look out for her next book.
I actually enjoyed this book, but the author needs to have it heavily copyedited. There are quite a few spelling and grammer errors, typos and words that were in the wrong order. It was very distracting and took away from the story. The other issue I have and it was very glaring as I have a degree in the Baking & Pastry Arts - is that UCLA DOES NOT have a culinary arts program.... You either would go to the CIA or another prominent culinary school or a community college to receive a degree.
This was fabulous story. Perfectly written from start to finish. It followed beautifully, there wasn't a time when u go what…it felt as if I was witnessing or a part of the story, as it happens. That's how detail oriented the writer was. She didn't leave out even the smallest details. She tied up all the characters beautifully, even Ababeth. Finally for all those people who are afraid to take the leap, just do it… and stop standing in your way.
Ok so I don't want to give away anything, but this book was great. I loved all the characters, even the minor ones. This is a first book I believe for the author and it was great. I see a lot of potential for this author. Lily & Luke were good main characters & Lily's sisters were a riot. The story of young love beginning & then starting over after many years apart was nice. I also liked how Luke was not the stereotypical male lead that didn't know what "love" was. I would recommend this book to all my friends. Great job to the author & keep them coming.
This is a story of Lilly, a famous chef on the west coast, coming home to be a bridesmaid at her sister's wedding. She finds out that Luke, a boy she had a history with from high school, is also in the wedding and is an MD in practice with her future brother-in-law.
There are three sisters, three doctors in the practice who pair up with each sister. Everyone is gorgeous. The parents are understanding. Family life is perfect. None of the men have any trouble saying they are in love.
The outcomes are all predictable. There is little conflict and what there is gets so quickly resolved.
It wasn't a bad read just not an exciting one.
